Learning Disability and Gifted Evaluations

Whether child or adult, learning disabled or gifted, Vocational & Psychological Services can assess the cognitive ability via intelligence testing and measures of scholastic achievement. Based on test results, recommendations can include educational accommodations. Possible IQ measurements can include the following:

 

  • Stanford Binet Intelligence Scale
  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children- (WISC-IV)
  • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale IV (WAIS-IV)
     

Scholastic measurements can include the following:

  • Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT)
  • Nelson Denny
  • Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement

Diagnoses are provided based on formal criteria within the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-V), as required by school administrators.
