and Psychological Evaluations
The following assessment tools may be utilized:
- ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule): This extensive measure assesses correlates of Autism Spectrum Disorders and is applicable for toddlers to adults. It is the recommended assessment for possible autism.
- GARS (Gilliam’s Autism Rating Scale): examines stereotyped behaviors, communication, social interaction and developmental disturbances

M-CHAT (Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers): examines possible symptomology correlating with autism
- ABAS (Adaptive Behavior Assessment System): examines adaptive skill areas including communication, community use, functional academics, health and safety, home or school living, leisure, self-care, self-direction, social and work
- ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills): examines basic learner skills, academic skills, self-help skills and motor skills
- Child Behavior Checklist: Achenbach: examines social behavior
- MAPP (Milestone Assessment Placement Program)- assessment tool that provides a baseline of performance to help individuals with developmental delays
